Pumpkin

Can anyone tell me off hand if my African Spurs can eat Pumpkin? What part of the pumpkin can they eat? We were thinking of giving them our old Jack o lanterns but wanted to double check on the forum.

They can eat the meat no problem, no seeds or guts. Dont feed too much at one time either.

David, I also read (I don't know if here or somewhere else) that you can freeze it in a bag and pull out pieces, thaw and feed when ready. It makes it a little stringy but is still good. I just took all the pieces from my kids and threw it in the freezer!

Oh yup Dee I have 2 one gallon freezer bags full of pumpkin to feed through out the next couple of months.

Anja - I have one more that I want to cut up. I figure that'll keep me until next fall!!! People just never know what they are going to find in my freezer!

Funny you should say that since I have frozen rats, mice and bunnies in my freezer along with a few snakes that have expired. lol
