Will A told me that there were plans for it, but nothing more. I wish they did have it. Who knows maybe Russ G will get one out. Give us a few more years and we will write one!!

Russ has had plans for quite a few species books, but these are the only ones that come to pass so far.

"Hi Norman -

Thanks for your note. Unfortunately, Will is a medical doctor and has just been too busy over the last couple of years to work on the book. I am now working with a researcher in Madagascar to complete the book but it probably won't be finished until summer 2010.

You should write one regardless if anyone else does. It is always great to read other views/beliefs/observations/successes/failures/etc. DO IT! Especially how passionate the two of you are about those crazy lil pyxis tortoises!
