Quality time with my rt

Randy is my first tort, in my search for another aquatic turtle I fell I love with tortoises. Since rehoming him I have learned so much from this forum and just from living with him.

Tortoises have such amazing personalities! While I build his out door enclosure I spend alot of time with him outside while the vermont weather is still warm enough for him. My friends are shocked by how active he is!

It took some time for him to adjust and I already wondered "how do I know if he's happy" now I can just tell by his actions

Squash is is favorite treat. Working on naturally filing his beak down with the slate and that's the only thing that he doesn't walk off with. I find kale all over his housing!

As a kid I always wanted an aquatic but I wanted a smaller one and with the 6 in rule that wasnt possible until we found some hatchlings while making a sand castle poor babies were impacted in the sand and couldn't get out so we took the ones that weren't looking so hot and of 3 one is going strong and growing I wanted to find her a friend but upon doing research I read all the horror stories of turtle and tortoise bullying so I found myself in love with Russians and helped rehome one so all my babies are rescues in there own way

I call our outdoors time "taking a walk"
He knows when I come to his enclosure in the afternoon it's time for a "walk" comes over to me all excited, it's just too cute. I can't wait for him to be out all day next spring/summer
