Ok so I have done lots of research on the requirements of my Russian tortoise, and he is settling in very well. Ive had him a couple of weeks now. His name is Cornice, by the way. I have never had a tortoise before. I was wondering if anyone could inform me of what to expect personality wise? I know they are obviously all different, and Im not expecting him to greet me at the door when I come home, but what are they like? Does this make any sense? Maybe not, but if anyone has any clue what i'm asking please reply lol thanks

Congratulations on your new Russian Tortoise? Someone will post a care sheet here for you so you'll have some guidelines for setting up your tortoise in the appropriate micro-climate. Proper care and temperatures will bring out the best of his personality traits since he will be comfortable, healthy and safe.

Russians have a reputation for friendly, outgoing personalities, as well as high activity levels and a penchant for fun or mischievous endeavors...here's a couple threads for you with some of our famous TFO Russians, Nelson and Trevor: http://tortoiseforum.org/thread-15870.html?highlight=Nelson , http://tortoiseforum.org/thread-15850.html
