Quick questions about my lighting!

I was just wondering when i should be changing out and replacing the uvb strip light? I read from a site before that it should be replaced every 8 months or so? Please correct me!
And does the lighting setup seem to be okay in the picture? Im using a UVB strip light from "All living things", does anyone have a opinion on it?

That's a pretty nice-looking habitat.

Sorrry, but I don't have any experience with the strip lighting. But, if you can afford to buy a UV meter, that would be the way to go. Then you could test every so often and replace the light when it tests low output.

great setup but one thing i will advise, the screen does cut the UV light up to half.
1. either buy one that has a stronger output
2. remove the screen.
3. place the strip inside the enclosure.
Those are the 3 things i suggest you can do.

Yah i thought so! Maybe ill try removing the mesh.
