quick? sleeping while soaking....

Hi quick question here.

I put my hatchling in for a soak in the bathroom sink like always. Warm water half shell high, he normally gets very lively at this time but instead he is sleeping. His eyes are not sealed because if I wake him up he opens them, moves then will go back to sleep. Is this normal?

well he seems to have woken up but it has taken 10 plus minutes! normally he is up instantly, or close to. do they tend to sleep during growth spurts? his scutes look to be growing..
