Rain Water

It has been raining off and on here in Texas the last 2 days so I figured I would catch some rain water to warm and use for soaks and misting and maybe even in the water dish. Does anyone else collect rain water for their Torts?

Yes. Run off from my roof. I just don't include the pebbles from my shingles.
It rains for about 1.5 hours every day here in the summer.

Rain water is THE BEST!!!! For your house plants too!

Great thanks guys! My 1st gallon bucket loss the battle to my 1 year old LOL he came inside yesterday soaked! Hopefully last nights catch will make it!

Yes - rain water ROCKS. Where I live in the hills of Jamaica, it is also a necessity to store it as we only get treated piped water about twice per week!

They really seemed to enjoy the rain water better. I was able to warm it in the sun and give them a good soak. They laid out and drank until finally Sunni pooped and we had to change the water lol.... Rain water it is!
