Our 2 and a half years old Redfoot (Artemis) is growing quickly and we have rehoused him in a bigger pen, approx 44 inches long x 24 inches wide x 6inches deep. Our problem is that he keeps trying to climb up his little 'bedroom' onto rocks etc and the walls of the pen and then falls over. 3 times this week we have returned home to find him fallen on his back, and once he did it as I was watching. He is out in our living room every day so he does get exercise. What can we do to stop his Kamikazi antics?

do you mean out in the living room as in just roaming around if so that's not good the tort now know's the world is bigger then his area and he will never be happy about being contained 44x24 is kinda small i keep my 5 month old red in a 6foot by 32 inch wide closed chambers the more space the better

The only way to stop a tortoise from falling over is remove what is causing it to do so..In this case he may just be exploring his new digs, just keep an eye on him.
