So much conflicting info. What do you feed your red foot? I have a 8 month old. I don't have a set diet. But he likes spring mix, kale. Strawberries, mangos, zucchini. Squash. What can I add?

I typically follow the Tortoise Library food list. My red's like baby romaine, dandelion greens, snapdragons, hibiscus, hollyhock, wheat grass, rapini, kale. Plus I grow tort seed mix that they graze on.

A few days a week I mix in mushrooms, sweet peppers, butternut squash, fresh green beans, okra, shredded carrot. For protein once a week mixed in tuna, worms, boiled egg with shells (calcium), boiled chicken.

I only use fruit as a purée to glaze over greens with the supplement on it. Then they eat their vitamins easily.:)

I've been giving him eggs but you give him the shells too?

They love prickly pear cactus pads, hibiscus and mulberry leaves.
