I have an adult male red footed tortoise. He is about 10"-12" long and about 6" tall. I need to find a new hide or shelter for him but can't find anything for him to fit in. I had him in a half log but he has now outgrown it. Any ideas?

Build one out of plywood...if you dont have it already...just create a jungle in his house...get a bunch of fake plants from Afloral.com...they zre super cheap....bought 5 for like 24 and are a decent size...out rf is 8in in length and 5in height...she has outgrown all of those hides...now she buries herself where her jungle is...

A long time ago someone gave me a few pieces of large PVC - I'm going to guess about 10 or 12" diameter. I cut them into 15" lengths then cut them in half lengthwise. The make very good hiding places.

Plastic culvert/drainage pipe seems to be a go-to for a lot of people.

Home Depot has sheets of pvc trim that measures 1/2" thick and is 12"x8' for $20. I built my last hide out of that and it turned out fantastic. From now on all my smaller hides will be made from that.
