Red footed tortoise questions

Hello. It has been brought to my attention that my pet tortoise Shelly has signs of pyramiding. I need help understanding it and figuring out how to make it better. Also, I am new to tortoises and the people I got Shelly from were uneducated. So I have had to figure this out on my own with the help of the Internet. I need to know some better care tips for red footed tortoises. Thank you

I have found some very helpful info about RF tortoises at the Tortoise Library




Pyramiding is caused by a baby in its first year or so of life being kept too dry. All you can do now is provide the best conditions for the tortoise that you are able to provide. It will never smooth out, but that just adds to his character, right? He's a beauty regardless.
