Hi, I was wondering how my setup for my baby redfoot is. It has sphagnum moss [mosser lee] for the substrate and a 6 in. plastic pot with a slate of rock for a food dish and a big plastic cap for a water bowl. Thanks!

What is the lighting / heating situation? Temps (ambient daytime/nighttime, basking spot, cool spot)?

They are a 18" zilla T8 floresent fixture [UVB] and a 100w CHE.

The CHE will stay on 24/7 with a thermostat that will be set for 85 degrees

Pictures would help us provide a good assessment.

That's a better bulb.

Sounds like your enclosure is pretty close to mine, at least in terms of lighting/heating and temps. Check out the thread in my signature for how mine are set-up.

What size is the water bowl? I use terra cotta plant dishs with my RFs (about 1.5 x the shell length and deep enough to come the intersection of carapace and pastrum). The water will slowly leach out into substrat helping with humidity.

Plant saucers are sold anywhere plant pots are- they are just clay or plastic dishes to set plants on. They usually make good water/soak dishes.
