Dear Lyn,

It is currently 26.8 degrees Celsius in my lounge with the fans but I hope you can sleep tonight.

Goodnight

Natrah

PS: I was sad to hear about Bonnie Tyler and what with the actress Penelope Keith that's another part of my childhood gone.
Shocking news about Ann Widdecombe too. Looks like she was murdered.

I know Lyn I still remember my local MP Sir David Amess. We may have had different political views but he greeted myself and dad in the street as if we were all friends eventhough we were strangers. He also turned up at the orchestra concerts!

Natrah

PS: I remember Ann on Strictly Come Dancing 🤣🤣.

Good luck on your trip Ray!

We went for a bike ride and when we got back, the Hickory tree we heard cracking the other night dropped a branch...a big long branch! 20260710_181412.jpg
But while we were surveying the situation Mama deer came by with the kids.

So then I tried some pics through the binoculars! This will take practice!

Those are the great pictures!
First leg of the trip is done. 8 hrs tomorrow and 2.5 hrs on Sunday. Glad I got the injections in my lower back. They are definitely working.

Thanks for posting Ray. My intrusive thoughts wanted me to text you this morning to see how far you got....at 5:30AM!

See? You saved yourself that phone making noise this early!
I am ready to rock and roll. I am laying here listening to Rose and Joe having a snoring contest. 🤣🤣🤣

Good afternoon everyone!

Grade 4 Piano pupil merit
Grade 3 Violin pupil pass
Grade 1 Violin pupil merit

All three did exceptionally well in an exam centre at a church hall in 33 degrees Celsius without a fan or air con!

You would think they'd at least have provided fans in this heat! Well done to your pupils - and to you.

Yesterday was actually good considering we drove 8 hours. My back held up well. Today we are in the mountains of Tennessee and Kentucky with curves in the road. We are halfway before we stop for the night. After 4 hours of driving my back is in pain. Going to be a long 4 more hrs 😪

Good morning everyone!

Lyn I'm sorry to see that we have now lost Dermot Murnaghan the newscaster who is only a few years older than me. Regarding Ann Widdecombe did you see the BBC Breakfast tribute to her when her death was first reported because I really didn't think much of it. Like Sir David Amess I didn't vote for her party but I thought deserved more of a tribute.

Very sad about Dermot. I liked him as a presenter.
I didn't see Ann's tribute so can't really comment on that. I think at that point everyone thought it was natural causes. Now the police have said she was murdered, I think everyone is shocked and saddened by her untimely and violent death regardless of politics. I hope they find her killer soon - maybe the second man they're questioning will be the one.
