Redfoot.....straw?

When people feed straw... i know redfoots probably wont eat it but what kind of straw is it normal rabbit bedding or.....
Is it possible for tiago to eat it most people told me he wont graze but when in the gardeb thats all he does?
Would he eat it if so what is it...Thankyou! :D :tort::tort:

Have you tried timothy hay? Rabbits use this and I was told it is okay for Redfoots to eat

I have not tried any just wondering....we have a local shop and it says straw lol!

In general, straw is not used as a foodstuff but is often used for bedding, etc. Hay is usually used for food and can be used as bedding as well.

Straw (or hay) is not a great bedding material for tortoises- drying but mildews easily, dusty, etc. Most forest torts are not real fond of hay as food, although some eat it. I grind compressed Timothy hay cubes into short fibers that I add to lettuces to boost the fiber content and they eat that OK.
