Hi all
I was wondering if anyone (and everyone) can post some pics/ plans for Redfoot tortoise enclosures (closed chambers are preferred)
I am very new at this but want to get started as soon as possible. I am not terribly handy but am going to try and learn. I want to build something my little guy won't really have to move out of again, so the bigger the better.
Let me see all you're great ideas!
Thanks

For babies, the tub below is from a feed store. It's 50 Fallon's and waterproof.

Have someone install lighting and heating, cut some wood and plexiglass.
This is the easiest one we have.

Dumb question, but what do you have under it? I'd think an adult RF would just walk out... lol
I don't have anything under it. I just lined the outside with bricks/concrete blocks around perimeter.

Hello!

I have a yearling baby... he is housed outdoors for most of the time, only comes in at night and cold weather (RARE!)

This is what I have him in outdoors:

What I have done to increase shade is... I cut some leaves off of a HUGE Fishtail palm and have started placing them across the enclosures. It helps a lot with shade. I have 2 umbrellas up and that piece of ply but the sun still beamed in there and I didnt like it. I dont have an updated pic, i should take one....

Here's the fishtail palm leave so you can get an idea

Oh! and under the ply I placed Green Moss, its nice and humid in there. Every few days I mist the enclosure with my hose so it stays nice and humid for my baby <3

I love your outdoor setup! I might steal some of this for mine in the summer.. Although I will need a "lid" of some kind to keep out predators (we have coyotes, raccoons, and turkey vultures nearby)

Thank you! I have a lid, I just never take pix of it lol. I used NIC cubes and have a piece of wood that I slide thru for support. :)
