I would try to buy from a home improvement store, they are usually cheaper and you get bigger quantities.

You'll save a ton of money at the local home and garden store if you buy a big bag of clean cypress mulch, or another wood mulch that has no pine smell or other strong scents.

I know there are those that like long-fibered sphagnum moss, but here locally it is tough to keep it damp but not wet, and I suspect that wet sphagnum moss creates a mildly acidic solution that can cause a form of plastron rot.

Some areas of the US and UK/EU can't get cypress mulch.
Mike, I know you posted about your enclosures, what did you end up using in Sweden (I guess I could weed through old posts, lol), might be something he could find in UK.
I know some like the Sphagnum moss in at least the hides.

I used 3-4 inch of peat (the same type we use for our horses, very cheap) as a first layer and then a second layer with 3-4 inch of Pine Bark Mulch, with no strong smell !
