Alright: My Redfoot hatchling will be arriving Tuesday at 10:30AM! The last thing I need to get to be ready is the substrate!

I know the most highly recommended is Coco Coir. Do I mix this with anything?

What type of moss for inside his hides?

Also- are these things I can get at Lowes/Home Depot or should I just grab some from a pet store?

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Do you have a link for the type of moss you are talking about?

cypress mulch is good who are you buying from out of curiosity

My little guy is coming from a forum member, shellfreak. :) I decided on shellfreak because of his care practices, honesty and extreme helpfulness in both picking the best type of tortoise for me and helping me to educate myself and be prepared for my new arrival. Overall, he is someone who is in this for the torts!
