So I'm heading over to Repticon tomorrow and I was just wondering if anyone has ever brought their tortoises with them? I was possibly thinking about bringing my tort and my beardie with me but I didn't know if it'd be too cold or stressful for them there.

Everyone has their torties and dragons with them at the fair! If I were you I would just bring the beardie because he can cuddle up on you. And you might need to test an outfit or two on him. ;) They actually make really neat leashes/vests for them. Anyways, I've never bought a tortoise from a repticon, however. If I were you, I would look up the specific vendors at the fair and then look up reviews of them online.

Unfortunately my fiance is going with me and he told me I'm not allowed to buy another tortoise or turtle :/ We'll see how long that lasts tho lol! The only thing with my beardie is, I'd probably keep him in his mesh carrier because I'd be afraid he'd try to sky dive like he always does when I'm at home.

Keep him up late and then you get up earlier. Tell him you tried to wake him but he wouldn't and that he said to go without him. I'm not suggesting you lie to your future spouse, just providing you with alternatives. LOL.

I would love to go to a repticon one day!! Sounds like a ton of fun. I'd think will all the reptiles they would keep it at a decent temp in there

I didn't know you could bring your own in. I wouldn't bring mine personally. You never know what illness desease one might have that could possibly be passed to yours, specially if you touch someone else's. Just seems risky to me

Yea I ended up just leaving them at home. I have to say I was very disapointed! All they had there were snakes and geckos which are cool and all but I was looking for some Bearded dragon morphs. Unfortunately there weren't many torts there either, and the ones that were there were in TERRIBLE shape!! All of them were suffering from major pyramiding. Some of the russian's looked good but that was about it. There was however a really cool Mata Mata turtle and a Cuban Rock Iguana that was as big as me (I'm 4'11'' so not that tall but still...) It was still fun but unfortunatly my fiance hates snakes so he wouldn't let me hold any. But it was still fun, even tho I was a little disapointed.
