Looks amazing! I'm so glad he has such a happy home now! Do you have water for him?

Thank you Gingerlove, yes he has water and food in there with him, you can just see the dish through the diamonds shapes. His shelter will be the next thing to do on our list of things to do, is get him a better box for him to hide in.

I hope you have dug down and put some kind of barriers. Russans love to dig and will get out of that enclosure if not. I had to dig down about a foot below the ground. Good luck!

Thank you Cheryl, I haven't dug down yet as he is not strong enough to do that yet, still building him up as I don't know how long he was in the situation for.

Morning everyone, need some advice on what to put in George 's new tortoise table that my husband has built for him as it's massive but looks very bare. What plants he could have, I've got him edible plants, but what else. Thank you20160619_093742.jpg

Looks like a great start. :)

Spider plants are good to begin with.

I think he could use some sight barriers; they break up the space and give him a bit of variety. If you read down near the end of this thread: http://www.tortoiseforum.org/threads/ideas-for-indoor-enclosures.65798/, you'll see some examples of spaces similar to yours, but a bit more filled in.

Plenty of pictures in the enclosures thread, you just have to poke around a bit. http://www.tortoiseforum.org/forums/tortoise-enclosures.7/

This isn't quite the right product, but I've seen some interesting barriers posted lately that use a bit of flexible log or bamboo edging from Home Depot or Lowes: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Backyard...4bA2uu3aucHasDxYCwgjqrkdUbPc2Hx-pQaAnUr8P8HAQ

since the shell is soft he needs calcium and UV light.
plz make sure he gets
enough sunlight or UV light,
calcium supplement powder on food.

no god avaialble / he is brain dead or else there would not be any animal abuse.
but at least George had you.

This is a very old thread and the original poster no longer visits the Forum.
