He's been sleeping outside for a month now and I dont force him inside because it's summer and at night the temps are typically around 68 F (20C).

However, I have been seeing mucus for about a week or two now and it never happened before.

He did managed to eat dog poo once which got me worried but I believe this is irrelevant it must be a respiratory issue from getting cold.

Should I seek medications or see if it goes away by itself? It's only a little bit of mucus like you see in the video.

Any input is much appreciated @Tom

Hello!
Probably, you already know all good reptile vets on the island, but there is also Dr. Tatsiana in Paphos area (https://maps.app.goo.gl/ERWvTRXCsrP2wEfv6).
Maybe you can talk to her and send video on WhatsApp.

Tolis, I haven't seen you around for a while...where have you been? Or did I miss your posts? Anyway, it's good to see you!

You might want to take your tort back inside into a closed enclosue. Turn the heat up to 85°F and don't let it drop...keep it at 85° all the time. Hopefully that runny nose will clear up.

Keep him in the heat for another 2 weeks after the symptoms disappear.

I don't have enough wifi signal to view the video. What species are we talking about?

He looks like a big tortoise! If this would happen to my russian then I would also probably take him to the vet and do the most recommended thing they say to help him.

68 is much too cold. Aldabras are a tropical species. They should not drop below 80 at night. Some people get away with cooler temps in some parts of the world with older larger tortoises, but ideally, they should be kept warmer. What you are seeing is the result of cold night temps. I'd bump the night house up to 85 for a few weeks to cure this problem.
