Water lilies (family Nymphaecae) are not actually lilies (family Liliaceae genus Lilium) . Some types are called lotus (the ones with flower on tall stem above leaves, family Nelumbo). Common names for plants can be deceiving sometimes so it helps when they give Latin name on lists.

Can RF eat rose pedals or lily pedals.
DAY LILLIES like the orange flowered ones that grow everywhere are non-toxic and safe for tortoises and people to eat. Rose petals are also safe for torts and people.

As are these flowers safe for torts and people: pansys, basil flowers, hibiscus, squash blossoms, Banana Blossoms, Carnations, Clover, Dandelions, Nasturtiums, Okra flowers, Geraniums (not Ivy geraniums), Yucca Petals, Sunflower, cactus (Prickly pear) flowers. Just to name a few. and these are not just good for RF torts and people.
