Long story short is I have ended up with a little box turtle who I named Gilligan. Yesterday I walked in a parade with my co-workers, and Roland and Gilligan went too! We ended up carrying them most of the way, they did great, and kids all along the parade route thought they were the coolest thing ever.
Very cute! I don't think my Russian would have the patience for parades at all. Or really much of anything!
