I am wondering since Ruschia Nana is a great grass alternative if tortoises, specifically Indian Stars, could eat it, and if so does it have any nutritional value? It’s not on thetortoisetable.org.uk and I couldn’t find any nutritional value information on it anywhere. It’s a succulent so if not toxic and easily digestible I assume it would at least provide good hydration. Also, I wonder if the flowers would be edible as well.

Any help is much appreciated!

I just read a few articles on this succulent. Everything says pet friendly and non-toxic.

Toxicity

“The grass is not toxic if ingested. It is not dangerous to touch either. Instead, it is soft and cushiony to the feet and completely safe for domestic use in houses, lawns, and public areas.”

I did read where it only lasts two to three years & dies out, so one has to always be adding new plants into the area…. This might not be an issue
