These 2 torts need homes .... Right? Why in the hell would you allow these 2 to breed and make more Torts that need homes? "Let's solve the homeless Tort problem by breeding more ... Sounds stupid."
Sorry but I had to say something for the interest of the Torts. Providing these 2 a home but in the process you create dozens more that have a high likely hood of suffering the same fate, Retarded.
Do you really have so few tortoises that you keep them all in separate pens please let us see pics of them-by-them selves

They have the enclosures set up male/female, with groups of same sex tortoises in each. I got the impression Dana was referring to the OP with the breeding comment.

So, if they are Wong and by mistake a female is put in with the males and she lays eggs they will break all the eggs? Cause mistakes happen to all of us

We have well over 100 Torts ....... And YES they are in individual pens. Watch some of our YouTube videos and you will see the pens. We also are building EVERYDAY, there is $15,000 of materials already purchased sitting on our property right this minute waiting for me to use it. Not to mention the $10,000 we just spent to have ALL our electrical Re-Done and Upgraded.
Breeding tortoises is how you stop those who take tortoises out of the wild for the pet trade. But This is the great USA, and everybody can say what they want.
SO ..... You are breeding, but it's to save wild Torts .....Every baby you breed is supposed to save a wild one? Since the wild ones are your concern do you Donate money to saving them? Or do you pocket the money? It is Retarded to use a Homeless Tort to start a breeding program, if purchasers of 'Wild Ones' just adopted one that needs a Forever Home NONE would be removed from the wild. Breeding is a necessity for many different reasons but if you are breeding and pocketing the money how is that helping 'Wild Ones'? It's not it's putting money in your pocket for your desires, has nothing to do with helping Torts. Most breeders are in it for GREED not Compassion. If this is you then Retarded is what it is. Bottom Line - You are creating life that has a very high likelihood of needing a reliable home at some point (just like the ones you are trying to get now) and that is Retarded. You can never talk away that fact or change the Honesty of it.

We do make mistakes but make honest assessments of those failures and learn from them to try and never repeat them. We make every attempt to never even create the egg, destroying eggs is no different than killing the Tort to us. Red Foots are a great example of this - even with as many experts as we can find, ask and listen to getting the gender correct is not a guarantee and if breeding did happen it would only be once. NEVER again would we make that mistake and make sure the Tort is in a Gender correct enclosure.

Breeders are free to do what they want but that does not change reality, you are creating more life that you are not going to care for. Someone has to care for that life or it is one that suffers. That's a Fact.

I don't want to start a war with you. You do what you think is right and I will do what I think is right. And may our Two paths never meet. Have a great day.

I don't want any 'War' with you and respect your decisions in your life, I just don't agree. You don't agree with me right? That's what makes this place so great, any rational thought process has to have opposition in it. I have no I'll will towards you and only want the best for ANY tort in your life, we just disagree on what that is ..... that's all. This doesn't have to be a war it can simply be a disagreement. I hope our 2 paths do cross the 2 of us share a passion and our differences don't mean we can't get along. I will have a great day and I hope yours is to.
