If you plan on two, they cannot live together, tortoises don’t work in pairs. You can often find Russians on rehome sites

Feel free to check out these housing threads, here’s the one for babies, it covers correct equipment(uvb, heating bulbs, lighting etc), correct levels, importance of a closed chamber for younger tortoises(only way to maintain the humidity you need), appropriately maintaining the humidity, safe substrates, there’s lots of visual examples for everything, and a really handy diet link to check out! If going with a greenhouse, the lower the ceiling height, whilst still allowing for recommended bulb height, the better! But I’ll add some more ideas below for closed chambers

Closed chamber options

This is the one for adults indoors

This has inspiration for indoors and out

Lastly, this one here is probably most important to go over and keep on hand, it’ll help you avoid the wrong bulbs, substrates, housing etc, I always encourage double checking purchases on the forum too before buying😊

Best of luck on your search!🐢💚

@helen123 ....
Hello my name is Dana, my wife Amanda and I run Joshua Tree Reptile Haven a Non Profit 501(c)3 Tortoise Sanctuary in CA. We actually just received a male Russian from PA and have torts from over a dozen states. If you look up our name on YouTube, Instagram or Facebook you can see hundreds of videos on what we do and how we do it. We would Love to provide Forever Homes to both of your Torts. Please feel free to contact us here or our website JoshuaTreeReptileHaven.org you may even call us and speak with us regarding any questions or concerns you may have (760)499-4723. We focus on Forever Homes not Re Homing, this means they will live here forever. We want the best for your 2 and are willing to give them exactly that ... The Best.

These 2 torts need homes .... Right? Why in the hell would you allow these 2 to breed and make more Torts that need homes? "Let's solve the homeless Tort problem by breeding more ... Sounds stupid."
Sorry but I had to say something for the interest of the Torts. Providing these 2 a home but in the process you create dozens more that have a high likely hood of suffering the same fate, Retarded.
