Hello! I live in Michigan and have little Steve the Russian tortoise as my little baby. 
The vet said he could be anywhere between 15 to 25 years old. I acquired him from a friend and before that, I'm not sure where he came from. Somewhere along the line, it appears he had some nutrition problems as evident in his shell. But now he's had a welcoming home for about the past three years and I'm determined to have him live a long, happy, healthy life.
I have always loved animals and thought that turtles/tortoises are pretty darn cool.
I'm not sure why I waited so long to join this forum but I'm delighted that I'll be able to meet some other tortoise lovers. <3
