Hi guys so ever since I got my tortoise I catch him sometimes nipping at one of his front leg. I'm not sure why. Any ideas?

Does he have a wound on that leg or a splinter or something that may be itching or hurting? I've never had that problem with my Tortoise but I know dogs will do it if they have a fox tail or something like that.

Are you using any UV lighting? Coil type perhaps?

No I am using a MVB by powersun. I soak him and check to make sure he has nothing that would be upsetting him. I might not be able to see it if it is a splinter or something. No wound.
