Hello! This morning I found some branches on the side of the river and I was thinking that I could place it into my musk turtle tank but im worried if its safe since im not sure what type of wood it is. Does anyone know if these are safe for turtles?

I couldn't say for sure what kind of driftwood that is, but I use driftwood for my water turtles that I found along the river here. Seems the turtles in the river don't mind it, and I can't see paying $20+ for one at an aquarium shop. BTW... I have no earthly clue what type of wood mine are either. lol

I think researching it made me more paranoid! There is a lot of pine trees around the river and I saw that pine is not safe. Perhaps I am over thinking it?

You can always put it in the oven at 350F for about 10 minutes or so. That's what I do for the driftwood in my fish aquariums.
