Salcata shell

I have 4 baby salcatas only 2-3 years old and have started to notice little white patches on there shells. Also I noticed on one the where the segments of the shell join its gone white and flakey almost like you can pick it away, is this anything to worry about

We need pictures, but it sounds like they are growth ones that are way too dry. Pictures will help us to confirm though.

Ok I will get some pics up Tomo, they are bathed 2-3 times a week, is it something to worry about?

And the little bit that looks like it can be picked off you can't see in this picture but is on the side where the segments meet the skirt at the bottom

They look rather nice! Not the smoothest, but nice.:D
I agree with the possibly-being-too-dry. Have you always soaked them?

Yeh I try to at least twice a week, the big one was born with its shell folded over but is slowly getting better, is there anything more I can do to stop them getting this dry?

Some of our members have been having good luck using a tiny bit of extra virgin, cold pressed coconut oil.
