Scales falling off?

Hey everyone, im not sure what this is or why this is but my russians scales on his feet are falling off? Hes a rescue so im not sure of any past medical problems or such. Is this natural or should i be worried? Please respond asap! Thanks

It doesn't look like a recent injury. Did you actually see them come off or did he come to you that way?

this is the first i have actually seen this, i went in there to feed him today and i saw this. i freaked out a bit

The skin may shed when there is a drastic increase or decrease in moisture and humidity. Not sure if this applies to your case or scales. My tort shaded good amount of skin shortly after getting him and introducing humid environment.
