So I bought bhear wood deck sealant to seal my platform. The sales person said it wont leech out in to the water. What do you all think? I haven't sealed the wood yet. But I don't want it to fall apart. I am using Bass wood and birch.

I wish I could help. I will bump you up. I would love to see your completed project. Is your platform for the basking area? Hubby might try to make one out of plexiglass we have hanging around.
