Hi all

What can I use that is safe to seal the inside of a room built of breeze blocks? Needs to seal the blocks so they can cope with 90/100% humidity but also be tort friendly.
We go to a zoo once or twice a year and I've never thought to look at what they use on there tropical reptile house walls. Will do this year.lol

Thanks

Craig

you can get brick/stone sealer from builders merchants. i cant remember the name tho. builders use to make brickwork water proof. it could be ok as they use it inside as well for sealing concrete floors. i would double check just to be safe. it came in a 10lt tub and you just painted it on. we used it on the dog kennels and had no problems.

Thanks @jeffjeff, I'll look into that.

I contacted a company that deal with painting swimming pools, aquatic ponds and zoo enclosures, they advised me this would accommodate high humidity levels and spraying. Does anyone have any experience with this paint. I just attached the whole spec sheet.

I'm not sure if Americans know what a "Freeze Block" is.
I certainly don't. Enlighten us, please.
I think you guys call them cinder blocks.
A couple of photos below. One on the right is what I will be using for my internal cavity wall. I will be using ones on the left just to create partitions inside my enclosure so I can grow things out of them also.

Yes. Cinder block here.
Or Ceement block...in the south.

Brickoblock in middle TN - go figger! Of course a garden hose is known as a hose pipe. I was lost for the first several years there...

Now a nose pipe to me would sound like it belongs on a motorcycle or hot rod to me.
