Both look female to me. Male's have HUGE tails, almost as big as their leg.

To my un-trained eye, those look like some mighty big tails, Kristina. I would have said both male. I was interested in the anal scutes. Straight across. I wonder what the anal scutes on the opposite sex look like. Interesting.

And, Jimbo...you don't have to wait for the 5 approved posts to post pictures. Let us see more of your tortoises. I'd love to see their carapaces and heads.

The anal scutes on males sweep farther back into the femoral scutes, coming to a sharp point (similar to female anal scutes in Testudo.) Backwards of what we usually see in anal scutes.

And when I say they have huge tails, I mean HUGE tails. Comparing them to the size of their leg isn't an exaggeration. The tips of the tails on these two just touch the joint, which makes them small to my eyes

Really hard to say. Are they wild caught or captive bred, do you know?
