self-soaking EBT sudden change in behavior

My two year old Eastern Box Turtle is suddenly obsessed with soaking in the water dish. Her skin fills with water. She even sleeps there! She just shed her skin. She lives in a large aquarium with natural habitat material. She is a super picky eater, eating meal worms and bananas.

Any ideas why she's doing this?

It's not unusual for a box turtle to soak in their water dish and even sleep there sometimes, Florida and Gulf Coast box turtles especially like to do that. What do you mean when you say that she just shed her skin? Some pictures of the turtle and its home might help determine what is happening.

when a box turtle all of a sudden spend an unusual amount of time in the water , while i'm sure not a guarantee , i'm pretty sure it's an indication of an ill turtle .............. as PJay asked , shed her skin ? that in itself sound like a problem to me .
