I was finally going to order some Mazuri for my RT's. I'm not sure if they will like it, but figured I'd give it a try. Out of curiosity, anyone know how long this stuff stays fresh? How should it be stored? I'm also curious about the cactus pads. Same questions, how to store them and how long they're good for eating.

Thanks, Laura

I would not freeze cactus pads. They get very soft and mushy when you take them out. Keep the cactus pads in a cool dry place and they should last for several months. Mazuri should be good for up to a year...possibly even longer. If you start with a small 1 or 2 pound bag though...you should have no problem using it in that time.

If kept cool and dry, it lasts a long time. If hydrated, freezing it is an option.
