Shell abnormalities?

This is my 7 month old sully. It might just be me worrying about nothing, but I am noticing very small abnormalities in his scutes, aside from these small things, he seems to be growing great. The abnormalities are very subtle so it's hard to image. On his belly, the left abdominal scute seems to be growing larger than the right.

And as for on top, his new growth almost seems to be pulling away from the old growth creating a pronounced tiny bump. Sorta simailar to streching a plastic bag until it rips, it has the same end apearance. I can't explain it very well nor can I take pictures of it very well

Is this a common type of abnormality that you guys have noticed? Or should I be slightly more concerned?

i wouldn't worry about the plastron growth, when they hatch from there eggs they are all squished and the shell smooths out over time. i would worry about his size for 7 months old, do you know if he was kept dry before you got him? the stuff your circled on his carapace is the new growth in-between the the baby scutes, its like a divergent tectonic plate the new growth is in the middle while the old growth is far away. he seems to have some pyramiding. do you soak daily? whats the cage humidity?

I got him from a pet store and he had a RI. they had him dry with iceberg lettuce. I'm only guessing he is about 7 months old. I've had him for 4 months. Just built him a closed enclosure . Aiming for 80% humidity, he gets 20 min soaks 2x day. he's much better since I got him but it's a working progress.

So your saying his belly is probably fine? As long as it doesn't get bigger? I understand the new growth and such but it seemed to pull away from the baby scute rather than grow with it. It is very odd.

It's hard to see from a picture what you're seeing in real life, but I don't see anything wrong with that shell that more humidity wouldn't help.
