Does anyone know if this is normal? This is the second time he has gotten a little spot of blood. I sprayed him off so it looks a slight bit better. Not much blood3CB8812C-F9D7-4064-B1A2-26E070F2C12D.jpeg

Greetings. This is happening right on the growth line of your tort’s shell. Lots of activity going on, new cellular growth, new cells, lots of blood pumping around building new shell. Your tort probably scraped this on something rough or sharp. So, check the enclosure & hide out fir any areas where this might happen. We had this happen with our Sully a few years back. Scraped her shell going under a fence gate & a little scrape/blood appeared. Just like urs.

Keep the scrape clean, maybe a little Neosporin type antiseptic if you think it warrants.

Id say, don’t worry, look for the offending cause, keep the scrape clean. Don’t worry (too much).
