Short winter

Well, Cooter is awake and active and eating way early this year !! It was a short slumber and became active about 2 weeks ago. Brought him out officially today and have him nice fresh filtered water, a couple leafy greens and clover/dandelion weeds and he scarfed it down. Nice surprise having him out and about early this year !!

Sure wish we would have a short winter like he did. Glad your enjoying having him awake.

Just take care tommaintain an indoor set up for any cold days that may still pop up...l.

He never really went fully down. He was always moving in and out of his brumation quarters. Even when it hit below freezing in December he was still pretty active. He downed food today. Guess just not full brumating winter for him this time, I guess. Great seeing him active and healthy though !!
