Is it a pancake tortoise, very normal? What is Ellie, - a Russian? It seems prudent to double check How old is Ellie, What more can you tell about Ellie that's not the name?

Most tortoises do not spend their time being a prey item though being out and about. Many develop a routine that serves their purpose. If your tortoises is eating and there is active growth (those white lines between each scut) then probably all is good.

Ellie is a 7 year old russian tortoise!
I mostly asking because as I've mentioned in other posts that I've made, Ellie is a rescue. I adopted her and in Frank I'm not 100% sure what is considered "normal"

It's normal. How long has she lived in this enclosure?
this is the enclosure she's lived in her whole life. I just wasn't sure if it was due to stress because as I mentioned another posts Ellie is a rescue. I adopted her from a friend of a friend who could no longer care for her.
she's a 7-year-old Russian tortoise and I just want to do what's best for her

It can take a few weeks to a few months for a tortoise to truly settle into a new home, even in their original enclosures, they definitely sense the change, they’re the kind of animals that hate any kind of change, even good ones lol, I’m sure once she settles she’ll start coming out more🥰
