Should I be worried about cross contamination?

I'm getting a crested gecko tomorrow and I'm worried that If I handle the gecko I could pass on any form of bacteria to my tortoise. Should I get a hand sanitiser?

I wouldn't worry too much, but its worth washing hands in between handling one or the other.

I also like to have dedicated utensils for each enclosure.

I have a crested and a tortoise. I wash hands before and after handling either of them. I also have there own containers for holding while I clean their enclosures etc. So they never use the same stuff just to be safe. I wouldn't worry, just be sanitary

Agree with the posts above. Universal precautions are good for everyone, including the keeper.
