Well .... every month I do a change/clean/ till of the substrate in the
"shack" . Out here in So CAL ... we get large grubs in the soil and REDFOOTS go boinker's :p right after a fresh till! ....

Poor Pio and Solo. They will NEVER get one. Wait a minute....are they the grubs that ruin your grass? My Gardner just came to put all kinds of junk to get rid of them. I wonder if they are the same one's as we get here in NY.

i wish i had protein eating torts, i get lots of grubs in my garden. surprisingly though, not so many worms.

There are many kinds of 'grubs'. Cranefly larvae is a popular one that does destroy lawns. They get big and juicy too :)
