Hi guys with me changing my substrate soon to a soil mix I was wondering if you guys had ever planted any real edible flowers or grass in your tables or enclosures ? I know my marg loves to eat grass and and I was thinking of planting some in my table as a grazing snack for him he will still get his meals as well obviously but I was wondering if anyone's tried this and if it works well ?

Tortoises eat it, bulldoze it, and destroy roots by burrowing underneath. So either plant in pots or in removable flats that can be changed out; have one growing while the other is getting grazed. Otherwise you're reseeding often. That's fine for grass. I reseed grass frequently. Not so good for other plants.

I like and use spider plants, they look good, provide interest and shade, grow and propagate quickly and Tidgy nibbles at them but won't eat the whole plant in 25 seconds.
