ImageUploadedByTortForum1374114151.376055.jpg its this high. Usually it stays at around 100 but all of a sudden its been getting to 115

It is built into the shelf. Any ideas so that I don't have to drill more holes in the wall?

Pump AC into the room, but its probably cheaper to drill the holes. :shy:

I have had the air on all day. It hasn't been a problem until all of a sudden. It usually stays at 100. I could only find the solar glo in 125 watt

Get your self a plug in dimmer from the Home Depot . And just turn it down to a 100 watt.

Leave the brackets screwed into the wall but raise the shelf by putting a spacer board between the brackets and the shelf. Screw the spacer board into the underside of the shelf and then screw the bracket into the spacer board. (perhaps a 2 x 4 would give you enough distance) This prevents you from putting more holes in your wall and allows you to make adjustments by using a thicker board or by flipping the 2 x 4 on it's side.

Upon further thought use a metal spacer with longer screws. This will put more distance between any wood and the heat of the lamp fixtures. I'm a little concerned when you trap the fixture within the cutout hole in the wood.

************** If the heat buildup gets too high it could be a fire hazard. *****************************

MVBs require line voltage. You should not use dimmers/rheostats with them.

Agreed, never try to dim a MVB. You will not have the benefits of a MVB.

You could put the enclosure on a lower table.

Thank You for all your help. Im going to have to figure out a way to raise the shelf or put it somewhere else. What can I hang the lights from? Is there anything i can put over his cage to hang them from (maybe from home depot or somewhere?)
