Hello, I am looking to purchase a solar meter to test a variety of bulbs. If anyone has any experience with different models/manufacturers positive or negative I would really appreciate the help. Thanks

The new standard is the Solarmeter 6.5. It gives you the "UV Index". It measure the specific UVB range that our tortoises need to convert D2 into D3.
The 6.2 is good too. Its the one most people used to use before the switch.
I have not found a way to get these at a bargain price, but they are worth what you pay for them.
