Something in his eyes?

Recently my tort has been really dehydrated so I took him to the vet to get him checked out. I've done the regular baths and kept the substrate moist (coconut coir) and on the whole he seems to be on the mend, a bit more energetic and infinitely stronger but still a ways to go.

I have been concerned though about something in his eye? It looks like just a bit of coir but it's been a few days and still not dislodged, I cant tell what it is or what to do.
Any ideas?

It looks like he has a growth on his nictitating membrane. Find yourself a GOOD tortoise vet and see about having it removed.

Ok thank you, I have an appointment at the royal vet college on thursday unless it needs to be more urgent?
