Poor thing! Sand subtrate for a sulcata and turtle and also being housed together! Im not sure what species it is, it looks REALLY familiar the name is on the tip of my tongue.

Wood turtle and is semi-aquatic. Needs water to swim in, not sand and a sully friend. Is this at a pet store?

Looks like an ornate wood turtle. I hear the wood turtles are awesome pets. Never had one though. And yes, their care is very similar to box turtles but with more water area so the setup is totally inappropriate.

It is Rhinoclemmys pulcherimma manni. It needs both water and land areas. Sand is not the best for its land area, bit not the worst, either.

He is pretty. I wish I had a yard I could put a pond or slow moving creek in so I could have some of these. One day I will!
