Spots on shell

When I was bringing Gus outside today I noticed these spots on the back of his shell and some along bottom. I might just be a nervous nelly but wanted to make sure it isn't the start of shell rot. They are smooth and not rough. His shell is really hard.

Do a search for "white squiggly lines" and you'll get many results. The gist of it is none of us know why, but it's perfectly normal.
