Spring Mix

I have researched the topics, but just want confirmation. My star tortoise was hatched in January and really prefers spring mix. I have Mazuri and given her clover, wheatgrass, and Cactus. Like I said she digs the spring mix and the cactus, but the poops are very soft. Are the soft poops bad? She has good humidity and a hide with good humidity. She gets a soak maybe 6 days a week. Any suggestions? Am I doing everything ok? We have a ceramic bulb on one side and a powersun on the other providing basking and uvb. Supplement with calcium 5-6 days and herptivite 2 times a month.

I am very cautious of using weeds because I don't know what the heck I'm picking and if they have poison put on them. My yard hasn't any weeds.

No weeds in your yard....I hate you! Just kidding. before I had torts I tried to keep the weeds out and found it imposible. Now I enjoy picking my good weeds. I have found that dandilion, fileree(sp?) and mallow are the easiest to find and identify. I give my torts a little bit of whatever veggies we are eating. A little bit of carrot shavings, some squash. radish tops and today they got some asperagus just a little. Also plant a rose bush and a hibiscus plant the are easy to care for and tort love it.

I don't know about Stars, but I wanted to respond to bump your question up to the top again. Your care schedule sounds ok to me, but like I said, don't know about stars.

I give mine Spring mix, hibiscus once in awhile. Most of the time Mazuri so their poop comes out firm.

I don't keep Stars, but you should also offer some blossoms with the Spring Mix. Hibiscus, and Roses are a favorite at my house and I keep about 31 chelonia. I also take a hand full of hay and shake that over the Spring Mix. You can also add whatever looks good in the produce section. I add radicchio regularly. I feed Mazuri about 3 times a week.
