Hi I just wanting to know if anyone else leaves their tortoise in the enclosure when the sprinklers are going off? Mine go for about 20 min. Is it okay/safe to just let them get rained on? I live in Texas so it's still hot just really cold water.

When the weather is hot and there is direct sunlight on at least a portion of the pen, I don't worry about watering.
In the cool of the morning/evenings when it's all shaded is the only time I water with the torts either pulled from the pen or in their night box away from the watering.

Hope this helps.

During the hot days (high 80's and above) I run the sprinklers at least once a day. With my torts (they are all forest types) this stimulates feeding and breeding activity. As has been said the sprinkleing is not done in early morning or evening.
