I think it is very similar to the "New Posts" in a different format. It show some new reply and new thread. I think it is OK....

I still like to get that green arrow back for a quick jump back to the top of the page.

At the bottom is a green bar and the last word on the right is "TOP". click on that and you'll get to the top so fast your head will spin...

But I still like the green arrow better, because that arrow will stay at that location and travel with the page, I don't have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page to return to the top. But it is the next best thing to have.
